Deep sea big game fishing
We leave the pier around 6:45 and cruise out of the bay some 10-15 miles where we set out the trolling spread. We run 5-7 lines using a combination of dead baits, lures, birds, and daisey chains. The primary target species are sailfish, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), and marlin. At times, we can encounter blue, black, or striped marlin.
We encourage the release of all billfish. If the client requests we can retain one billfish per boat per day.
All juvenile billfish will be released. We always remain vigilant to spot breezing yellowfin tuna or birds working a pod of spotted dolphin where tuna may be lurking below.
- We return to the pier around 1:30 or 2:00 pm.
- Duration of trip approx. 7 hours.
- The price is $230 USD for the boat (1 to 4 persons). For the boat, bait and all tackle.
- Not including tip for the captain.
Clients should bring their own food and beverages of choice. Although the hard top on our boats provides some shade, do not forget your sunglasses, hat and sunscreen.
For advance reservations we require a 30% deposit, which is fully refundable if cancellations are received at least 2 days prior to the reservation.
